At Belleville Wix Academy, we ensure that all pupils receive a high-quality computing education, using computational thinking and creativity to understand and change the world. We are fortunate to have the support and expertise of the City Learning Centre (CLC) who work alongside our staff in teaching our pupils and ensuring that we provide an ambitious and relevant curriculum.
Our curriculum teaches pupils the principles of information and computation, how digital systems work, and how to put this knowledge to use through programming. Pupils learn how to apply their skills, knowledge and understanding of information technology to create programs, systems and a range of content. Pupils become digitally literate, preparing them for the future workplace, as well as supporting them to become positive, confident participants in a digital world.
Ensuring that our pupils are safe online is a key priority. You will find details of our approach, together with our online safety curriculum here.
